Frequently Asked Questions
Who can these sessions be booked for?
Portrait sessions are suitable for babies from 1 month old, sitters who can sit unaided, toddlers and older children. If you're unsure which session would be best for your child, please get in touch and I'd be happy to advise.
What should my child wear?
Neutral, timeless clothing photographs beautifully and helps keep the focus on your little one. Once your session is booked, I'll send over a styling guide with suggestions and inspiration.
Can parents or siblings be included?
Portrait sessions are designed primarily for individual portraits of your child. If you would like family or sibling photographs, please take a look at my Family Session packages.
How long does a portrait session last?
Most portrait sessions last around 1 hour. This allows plenty of time for outfit changes, settling little ones and capturing a variety of beautiful images.
What if my child is shy or doesn't cooperate?
Please don't worry! Children are wonderfully unpredictable and I work at their pace. My sessions are relaxed and child-led, allowing plenty of time to help little ones feel comfortable and confident.
What is the best age for a portrait session?
Every age is special! Little Cherub Sessions are perfect from around 1 month+, Sitter Sessions are ideal once baby can sit unaided (usually around 6–9 months), and Children's Sessions are suitable from around 2 years and upwards.
How do I secure my booking?
A £99 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your session date. The remaining balance is due.
